My group came up with the title "'SOTA SPORTS'' because it lets the reader know right away what the magazine is going to be about. The title also includes where the area of the magazine covers.  In this case it is a local magazine in Sarasota that covers schools sports. The fonts we have chosen for the title are bold and grab the consumers attention with the bright orange color. The fonts we chose stood out to us and we believe it is the best one to help get more people to subscribe to our magazine.

Sports Report is a known magazine for learning the basics about sports. The front cover has an overlapping font of bold white lettering behind a text of small, bold, red font. There are many hooks on the front cover leading consumers wanting to know more. For example, there is an article on the front cover that says "How she bends it like Beckham". This causes reader to know how to be like the great soccer player and leads them to buying the magazine to get some tips and tricks. This magazine can include inspiring stories about new and upcoming players in the sports world. An ad that is located in this magazine would be about sports gear or products so that beginners who may be reading this issue know where to get their equipment from. The font on the cover is also overlapping the picture of the soccer player so the title sticks out to the reader. Each issue is about a new and inspiring story that leads each consumer wanting more issues.

Euro Soccer is a magazine that is more known in European countries as said in the title "Euro Soccer". The cover page can be seen with multiple previews of articles located in the magazine. The font of the title is outlined with a glow around bold red letters. The date can be found in the top right corner to easily locate when this issue is from. Some ads that are located in this magazine include places to go and watch soccer games like sports bars etc. The articles that are in this magazine can be about game analysis, stories about famous players breaking records, and many other tips and tactics. The player's name "MESSI" is located on the front cover to show this issue is going to include an article about him. This leads consumers wanting to know why he is "number one". World Soccer is a magazine that covers everything on soccer. This magazine is known all around the world not just one country. The front cover shows the title in bold letters with 2 different color fonts black and red. A soccer player is shown on the front kissing a trophy. This lets the reader know that this player has won a big game of some sort and leads them wanting more information. This edition is also a souvenir magazine which means it is a very special edition and may contain information other magazines don't have. When consumers see this magazine they will want to buy this magazine because it will leave them wanting more information. Articles in this magazine can be from inspiring comeback stories to stories about soccer tips and tricks. An ad that would also be featured in this magazine would be upcoming matches so the people reading the magazine will watch the games.

This magazine is great for covering all different varieties of sports. It shows a bold and unique font on the front cover to grab the readers attention. Some previews of the other sports are located at the top of the cover. This is a great way to let the consumer know what they are going to be reading about. Some ads located in this magazine include Nike and other brands that people reading this magazine may like. The magazine is trying to grab the attention of people who like soccer by putting a famous player on the cover. This leads readers wanting more knowledge about the player and catches peoples eyes when they see a well known face on the cover of the magazine. Other articles in this magazine will be all sports related and give updates on different sports and teams.

The Sports Illustrated magazine is a great example of a sports magazine that is distributed widely to its viewers. The cover of this magazine shows the subjects in the middle of the magazine. The image is overlapping the bold title. There is also a quote on the front cover explaining the magazine is going to be about a team. The quote also grabs readers attention because it leads the reader to know more information about their team. This magazine has won many awards including national magazine award for general excellence twice. The articles in this magazine are all about sports news and inspiring stories that the public would like to read about. Some ads in the magazine include sports utilities like sports drinks and gear so people will go and buy them. This magazine is read by more than 23 million people each week, 18 million of which are men.

For this project I have chosen to do the magazine. I have urged myself  to sway towards the magazine project because I love to write. This project is going to be the best fit for me because I will also not have to go anywhere and film my opening scene. There would also be more problems if i created a film, for example if someone broke there leg in the middle of the film being shot you wouldnt be able to shoot the rest of teh film withut complications. I gave chosen to do a sports mgazine with 4 people. We are each going to do a sport for example I am doing soccer for my issue of the magazine. Some of my group members are more skilled in making it look organized while I am planning on interviewing and writing most of the stories. This is the best project for me and will also allow me to learn new skills along the way like photography to include in my magazine. 

Creating my own film is a very fun and creative way of getting my ideas and out to the views. It allows me to use my skills of creativity to come up with an innovative idea. Many movies can be seen as ways to relate to what is going on in your life to what is going on with the characters in films. If I decide to do this project it will allow me to pursue many of my innovative ideas and suggestions. Films can be any type of genre, but my film would most likely be a comedy. A great example of a good comedy would be "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". This movie is the perfect combination of teen angst and rebellion making it great for teen viewers. Some challenges I would have to face would be finding people to act in film and to edit in some good effects since I have never done any before.

Print journalism interests me because of all of the information you gain from reading articles. Most of all the information put out in newspapers is the truth. I am good at writing so this would probably be a good fit for me. The show tv series "Newsroom" helped show the different aspects of the news. It informed the viewers about the process of selecting the right pieces of information for each broadcast. If I choose to proceed with the idea of making a magazine I will need to now the process of finding out correct and eye-catching stories. Another assignment that helped me understand print journalism  was the magazine analysis because it  helped show me how my magazine should be planned out and organized. This project may be a challenge for me because I will have to learn how to take good pictures to incorporate into a well written and structured magazine.
